Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], October 14: It’s official! Nithya Menen and Dhanush are set to reunite on-screen for the upcoming film 'Idli Kadai.'
The pair, who last appeared together in the 2022 hit 'Thiruchitrambalam,' will once again share the screen in Dhanush's fourth directorial venture.
Nithya Menen confirmed her role in 'Idli Kadai' on her Instagram account, sharing a photo of herself alongside Dhanush.
In the image, Nithya is dressed in a white T-shirt while Dhanush sports a yellow one, both smiling and holding glasses of tea. She captioned the post, "New announcement #idlikadai (sic)." The news generated excitement, with director BV Nandini Reddy commenting, "Cannot wait."
Dhanush had previously announced the film in September by sharing a concept poster on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
The poster featured a small roadside shack under a starry sky, accompanied by the caption, "#D52 #DD4 Om Namashivaaya."
'Idli Kadai' will have music composed by GV Prakash, with cinematography by Kiran Koushik and editing by Prasanna GK.
The film is being produced under Dhanush's banner, Wunderbar Films, in collaboration with Aakash Baskaran's Dawn Pictures. While fans are eagerly anticipating the release, the exact date has yet to be revealed.
In the meantime, Nithya recently won the National Film Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in 'Thiruchitrambalam.'
Directed by Mithran Jawahar, 'Thiruchitrambalam' is a family entertainer featuring Dhanush and Nithya Menen as best friends Thiru and Shobana. The film was released in 2022 and received praise for its heartwarming story and performances.
